ABOUT THE PROJECT

A simpler way to keep one-off email separate.

BlinkInbox is a lightweight browser-based temporary email interface for short-lived, low-risk tasks. The goal is to make disposable inboxes easy to use while being clear about their limitations.

What BlinkInbox is for

Some online tasks require an email address even when you do not expect an ongoing relationship. A temporary inbox can be useful for a demo, a one-time download, a public newsletter sign-up, or a manual test of an email flow. BlinkInbox brings address generation and incoming messages together on one page.

How the service works

BlinkInbox's browser interface connects directly to the Neighbours.sh API to retrieve messages for a randomly generated address. The provider does not require an account to create an address. These inboxes are public: anyone who knows an address can read its messages, and messages are automatically deleted after 48 hours. BlinkInbox does not operate its own mail server in this starter version.

What it is not

BlinkInbox is not an encrypted email service, a long-term email provider, an anonymity guarantee, or a tool for bypassing another website's rules. Do not use it for sensitive information, account recovery, purchases, or important accounts.

Our approach

We aim to keep the interface clear, avoid unnecessary account creation, explain the limitations of disposable email, and provide accessible privacy and terms pages. Service availability depends on the external email provider. The domain list, rate limits, retention, and API behavior can change outside our control.

Use the tool responsibly and review the privacy policy and terms of use before using a temporary inbox.
